Prayer: More of the Holy Spirit

Dear Lord,

I am troubled.

People are willing to accept prayer — and that’s good.

But when it comes to accepting that there is no way to the Father except  through Jesus Christ, suddenly it becomes difficult. Some struggle with it. Some reinterpret it. Some soften it.

But that’s not what the Word says.

The Word of God is God.

And God is Spirit.

I want people to know who the Holy Spirit is. I want them to receive the baptism and to speak in another tongue.

Yes, for the sake of the community —

but even more, for personal identification in their walk with You.

It is important to speak in tongues.

It is important to speak to the Father directly by the Holy Spirit.

There is power in God speaking on your behalf.

Why is that so hard to understand?

We serve a supernatural God. Why would He not give supernatural expression?

Let us move past comfort and venture into who God truly is:

The God who rolled back the Red Sea.

The God who sent fire from heaven.

The God who flooded the earth.

The God who heals diseases.

The God who breaks oppressions.

The God who is above all principalities, powers, dominions and thrones.

The God who loves and cares for us.

We need the Holy Spirit.

We need the Holy Ghost.

We need the baptism.

Not just for daily routine —

but to move from milk to meat.

I urge all who seek You to pursue the baptism, to receive it, to keep it, and to walk it out — in quiet time and in the community of faith. Let the Holy Spirit lead us. Let Him speak through us.

He is the most intimate of the Trinity — the One who communes with us. That has always been Your design, since the beginning.

We have the opportunity to commune with You as Adam did — by the Spirit.

And this is my prayer:

Jesus Christ, lead me to be a vessel —

a living testimony of the power of the Holy Spirit.

Let my relationship with Him be so real, so transparent, so undeniable, that no one could question Your existence.

Thank You, Holy Spirit.
